Table Rock State Park

Saturday was our first time to test out our inner granola and begin exploring all the outdoor beauty South Carolina has to offer! Upon researching, I found out SC has 47 state parks! And y'all - this state is not that big. So what an exciting bucket list for us to start.

We ventured 30-40 mins away to Table Rock State Park, loaded with a picnic lunch, sunblock and trail maps. The park is filled with camp sites, cabins for rent, a swimming hole, water falls - we barely even scratched the surface with a one trail hike. 

We didn't quite know what we were getting ourselves into - turned out to be a 7+ mile hike! Almost four miles each way. It was a gorgeous trail - so green, minimal creatures and quite the work out!

               ...And the walk back down much easier!

Making Greenville home!

I officially moved here after our fabulous honeymoon & three day road trip in a u-haul (while towing LaFonda the Honda). Unpacking/organzing was not the most fun, but Ryan would treat me to yummy dinners and long walks after a hard day's work.

So here it is! We live in a fabulous condo, right downtown! We walk everywhere!

 There is an amazing park 2 blocks away in the heart of downtown - Falls Park! The landscaping is gorgeous. I am so grateful for a town that appreciates and invests in beautiful parks.

 Saturday turned out the be the most beautiful day for a picnic. We didn't have Central Market to create our goodies, but Publix is turning out to be okay :)

 Can y'all believe this is right where we live? If you can imagine, there are "skyscrapers" all around this area - quite the gem to escape to! (notice the children swimming in the river - I am going to be a horrid mom when I scream at my children about all the bacteria they getting into) But I just love that this community appreciates this awesomeness!

So far Greenville has exceeded my expectations! It is southern charm at its finest.

Now if only there was a dating site to find girlfriends who like to power walk, eat out expensively & watch the Bachelorette.
