Wimberley has several small town activities to enjoy while you are staying with us. We would suggest:

Blue Hole.

Driftwood Vineyards.
Driftwood Winery
Drive just outside of Wimberley to visit Driftwood Vineyards Come by for wine tasting or beautiful view under shady oak trees over lunch. Tasting room is open from 10:00-6:00. For more information, please visit the Driftwood Estate Winery website.

Cypress Falls Swimming Hole.

Eagle Rock, found at cypress falls is a beautiful swimming hole located in Wimberley. If you work up an appetite while enjoying Cypress Falls, simply walk over to the Cypress Falls Cafe, overlooking the water. You can choose to dine in the shade or to walk up to the top deck where you can get a wonderful view the Cypress lined Woodcreek bridge that is featured on several Wimberley post cards.

Golf.
Quicksand Golf
Visit Quicksand golf course just 3 miles north of Wimberley.  "Quicksand at Woodcreek" is a semi-private 18-hole golf course surrounded by the charm of the Texas Hill Country. Winding its way through the City of Woodcreek, Quicksand is a challenging, 72 par course with a quality pro shop and all the amenities. Casual dining and bar service are available in the "Above Par Grill" in Quicksand's clubhouse. Golf course is open for golfers vacationing in the Wimberley Valley. Please call for more information.

Horseback Riding.
Hunters Chase FarmsHunters Chase Farms offers hour long trail riding on their beautiful property as well as lessons. Trail riding is $45-$55. Lessons are $50-$65. For more information, please visit their website Hunters Chase Farms.

Glass Blowing.
Wimberley Glassworks
Come watch artisans make one of a kind glass sculptures. The glassblowers are currently working Wednesday thru Saturday from approximately 10:30 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:30. There is no cost to come watch. If you would like to schedule a demonstration for a group, they do set appointments so you can enjoy watching a piece made from start to finish. Wimberley Zip Line.
Zip LineWimberley has an 8 zip line tour to offer in the heart of Wimberley. The lasts about 1.5- 2 hours and costs $69 per person. You must make reservations in advance, so if you are interested please check out the Wimberley Zipline Adventures website.
 Austin
Austin.
Austin is the state capital and is conveniently located about 30 minutes to an hour (depending on where you want to go) outside of Wimberley. There are many things to see in this unique city. If you have a long enough stay, we highly suggest you go and visit and eat your heart out at their many great restaurants.

Where to Stay in Wimberley!

 Ryan and I could not be more excited to share this incredible time in our lives with you! We hope you take this weekend in May as an excuse to get out of the city and explore the beautiful Texas Hill Country!

I am posting a list of wonderful places to stay in the area. Check out their websites and see what suits your family best!

1. Creekhaven Inn is an absolutely ideal choice. The owners go above and beyond, the breakfast is hearty, the rooms are gems, and the environment is absolutely serene. You simply cannot go wrong. Rooms range from $150-$215 per night. http://creekhaveninn.com/

2. If you prefer to be pampered with a gourmet restaurant at your fingertips, spa services, and beautifully decorated rooms, Blair House Inn may be your perfect fit. If you’d like, you can even register for cooking classes with their executive chef! Rooms range from $150 - $289 per night. http://blairhouseinn.com/

3.  Cypress Creek Cottages offer (pet friendly!) charming cottages that sit right on the creek and create a quiet environment only 5 miles from downtown Wimberley. Rooms range from $99-159. http://www.cypresscreekcottages.org/

Dripping Springs and Blanco offer many options for staying as well. (Both towns are only 15 mins away). Here are a few recommendations!

My personal recommendation !! --- If you would prefer a personal cabin or river house rental, please visit the websites below. They have lots of great houses ranging fromm 1 bedroom to 5 bedrooms!
